Project Overview

Women Involved in Agriculture - A Kansas Annie´s Project, consisted of six workshop sessions focused on addressing the following issues: True Colors, Learning Styles, determining cost of production, understanding financial statements, land leasing, family and employee relationships, farm transitional planning, marketing, Farm Service Agency programs and computerized record keeping.

This project was marketed to women living in Kansas. Four areas of the state offered and completed the full project within the grant period and two other areas were just starting the program.

K-State Extension personnel delivered the majority of information, however outside presenters were also utilized. It was the plan of the project group for the participants to feel they have access to local resource people and agencies that can help them with future decisions.

Evaluations were conducted after each session, and 6 months following each project completion.
