Project Overview

Five Annie’s Project workshops were held in Minnesota where participants addressed all areas of risk: production, price, financial, legal, and personal. A total of 66 farm women participated in the workshops. The small workshop size provided a greater opportunity for the women to network amongst themselves. Developing these networks is an important outcome of Annie’s Project

The program content was presented by local experts in the various business management areas. These experts include local Farm Service Agency personnel, University on Minnesota Extension educators, crop insurance experts, and Minnesota State Colleges and University (MNSCU) Adult Farm Business Management instructors. participants were able to network with experts who can help provide information needed making good farm management decisions.

Workshop were located on MNSCU campuses. This provided the participants access to computer equipment and internet connections during the sessions. Participants were able to use the computer software provided with Annie´s Project. In addition, all the participants were given the opportunity to purchase the student version of Microsoft Office for use on their home farm business.
