Project Overview
Montana Annie´s Project 2008 brought 216 agricultural women together to explore agricultural business management topics – from marketing to financial statements and communications – encouraging participants to work together to find proficient ways to apply the principles to their operations. The project was presented in six three-hour classes during late January through early March in 15 Montana locations, utilizing local facilitators to enhance learning and networking processes and interactive videoconference technology to link producers to top-notch presenters. The women have indicated that the classes (1) empowered them to feel a part of their agricultural operation; (2) encouraged them to network with one another and form support groups, as well as initiate discussion with their husbands and extended family; and (3) excited them to pursue continuing agricultural education.
