Project Overview

The Multi Regional Women In Agriculture Conference is about women from different states coming together to learn how to manage risks, network and enjoy agriculture. States involved include, but not limited to: South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota. Representatives from the states formed a committee to plan the conference. All risk management areas were covered at the conference including: human, legal, financial, production and price. The conference was promoted to women directly involved in production agriculture and related agricultural fields. The multi regional conference attracted 110 women from 5 states to the meeting. The workshop presenters use hands-on activities and other educational methods when teaching. The day and a half conference conducted 11 workshops. The conference empowered women to learn new ways to share risk management ideas with their families and in their operations, plus network with others and enjoy time for themselves.
