Project Overview

34 participants attended a four day workshop, with the option for on-line real-time training on farm transition and estate planning, and business planning. Upon workshop completion,participants were contacted for one-on-one consultations to address their needs. Participants will also receive access to online business planning tools and receive assistance through an on-line information database. An online compendium of curriculum from this workshop was distributed statewide and incorporated in to other conferences.

Some of the highlights from the overall outcomes of this event include:
> Confirmed considerable local need and interest and agricultural business and succession planning.
> Identified current priority concerns of farmers and local entrepreneurs working with an ag. related product.
> Identified better means of information dissemination for this community.
> Succession and business plans for some participants commenced on paper.
