Building Resilient Farms by Reducing Risk and Increasing Profitability in Agroforestry provided programming for small farmers in Northwest Lower Michigan in regenerative agriculture, agroforestry and renewable energy, reducing risk for farmers facing challenges in the current financial climate and helping them to adapt to weather shocks. Due to pandemic challenges, our project plan shifted and led to the creation of a new online digital learning platform. This platform currently houses several speaker videos and digital farm/twilight tours that we conducted with producers and educators throughout the pandemic to offer these resources in a modified but still accessible manner. This platform continues to house the resources generated through this project and we are continuing to develop and add resources as time goes on. Around 70 digital resources have been created with roughly 10 of those having been developed through this grant and over 300 viewings to date. In addition, we were able to host 5 in person or hybrid online events with 81 participants and 3 live digital events with 74 participants. The online resources and recordings of some of the hybrid/online events can be found at the website below.
