Project Overview
This project addressed financial risks to farm businesses arising from inadequate insurance coverage and failure to manage risk. Business insurance options tailored to exposures faced by agriculture producers was the core of this project. We provided training to 41 agriculture producers in Alaska and natural resource workers. Three workshops, designed in collaboration with AACD and the twelve conservation districts in Alaska, were presented at Wasilla, Homer and Anchorage. The following measures demonstrated a change in participant behaviors with 41 participants completing a risk management needs assessment and an insurance plan template at the workshop.
