Project Overview

Idaho supports very large grain and livestock industries valued at more than $2.4 billion in 2014. Producers face significant revenue and management uncertainties from declining market prices and persistently high input costs. We employed a variety of training methods and experts to offer producers tools to address these major uncertainties.  Statewide focus: workshops and webinars on weather outlook, cost of production and marketing strategies. We produced a weekly grain market report, the only report of its kind in Idaho because we are one of the only leading grain producing states without a federal grain market news service.
Northern Idaho: Series of Management Monday workshops: Kick-off Your Marketing & Management Year and Grain Marketing 2016/17.
Southern Idaho: Workshops on ag outlook, farm and ranch financial analysis, enterprise budgeting, cost-effective use of precision technology and business succession and estate planning.
