Project Overview

We intend to introduce the computer, its software and hardware, as well as some practical applications useful to our participants´ operations. Demonstration methods will be hands-on training in a group setting. Educational subjects will include the selection of computer hardware and accounting software packages, and internet training to include e-mail usage, web-site browsing and on-line account management. Target audience will be those who are not necessarily proficient in computers, have limited knowledge of computer applications or may not even own a computer. Educational workshops will be within our trade area in southeast Nebraska and northeast Kansas. We will offer two evening training sessions at two selected locations. We feel 40 of the 150 anticipated participants will become comfortable with the computer and begin applying the methods demonstrated in the training sessions to their farming operation.
