Project Overview

We delivered a very successful 2-day short course "Farm Record Keeping for Productivity and Profitability" and synchronously delivered in two regions (Everett and Spokane) four risk management farm talks addressing aspects of the five area of risk management. They included: an informal Q & A panel discussion on legal, financial, employee management, and food safety issues farmers often face; an evening addressing "Managing Water Resources" that focused on water quality, quantity and water rights; an evening devoted to marketing - "Selling What You Grow"; and we wrapped up our risk management talks with "No Fear Farm Financial Management". In total we reached 153 participants who gained valuable risk management tools to evaluate their own operations and implement what they learned to reduce risk and improve economic viability. 75% of the students stated they will evaluate and use the concepts shared in these workshops.

Number of Participants: 153
