Project Overview

The “Women Managing the Farm” seminars for women with farm interests offers resources to enable women to manage their farm financially, mentally, spiritually, emotionally and relationally. Materials include brochures, written fact sheets or management guides, motivational speakers and presentations, and educational publications. The project materials were delivered to 210 women with rural interests through 4 trainings, each 1 and ½ day seminars, in four Kansas locations: Dodge City, Lawrence, Wichita and Logan. This project collaborated several established support networks including the Kansas Association for Family and Community Education, Kansas Agri-Women, Kansas Farm Bureau Women´s Committee and the farm credit associations across the state. These established networks will provide local support to the program participants after the training seminars.
