Common Diseases and Vaccinations for Meat Goats

Dr. Gene Parker presents an educational program about the common diseases of meat goats and the vaccination protocols that can be used. Diseases discussed include tetanus, white muscle disease, overeating disease, soremouth, urinary calculi, pinkeye, pregnancy toxemia, footrot, and coccidiosis. This is one of the educational sessions taught at the OSU Meat Goat Boot Camp.


REPORTS & EVALUATIONS

OSU Meat Goat Boot Camp Pre and Post Test

This is a test that participants of the OSU Meat Goat Boot Camp are given at the start and conclusion of the camp. This test indicates the knowledge level of the participants before the camp and if their knowledge level was increased during the camp. We can also break down the questions into groups such as general herd managment, herd health, marketing, record keeping, forages, and nutrition and measure the knowlede level before and after the camp.
