This presentation exposes possible marketing techniques that will drive the consumer´s willingness to pay for honey with different attributes.

This is the educational brochure that was created using the results generated from the experimental phase of this project. This brochure has been distributed at various outreach events and given to honey producers to use when selling there honey.


The 2nd Honey Producers Working Group Meeting: Marketing Plans and Marketing Tools

This document was put together to help the members of our working group to develop a marketing plan for the honey. This document describes the different parts of a marketing plan. The document ends with a series of questions directed to each of our participants pertaining to how they envision their honey business in the future. Finally, the document ends with the results from our experimental phase of this project and asks for volunteers that are willing to adjust their marketing plan based on the findings we provided.

Consumers´ Perception on Honey Risks

Honey Experiment Survey Results

These survey results were obtained from general consumers who were asked a number of questions about how they feel about honey. The goal of this survey was to determine what factors (marketing, aesthetic, educational)influence their willingness to purchase honey.


Brief Summary of the Marketing Plan Goals developed by the Honey Producers

This is a summary of responses from the online "Marketing Plan Goals Survey" we gave to the Honey Producers Working Group Members. Here they decide on marketing goals for their honey business and identify the actions they will perform to accomplish goals, and what type of measurement they will use to determine if they have met their goals.

Post- Online survey results

A survey was sent out to members of the different beekeeping organizations that were presented with the hands-on educational modules and summaries of results from experiments and meeting with the Honey Producers. This report was designed to assess the effectiveness of the educational modules and dissemination of results.
