Project Overview

The objective of the "Agricultural Workforce Management:Improving Human Resource Management Skills" workshop and website is to improve the human resource management skills of agricultural employers. This resulted in increased retention of desired agricultural employees, improved quality of work by employees, and increased profitability of agricultural operations. The 45 project participants participated in a two day workshop focusing on improving employee management skills. Participants within the workshop completed an initial survey focused on employee management knowledge. Once they completed the workshop they were once again surveyed to determine if there was a change in human resource management knowledge. Six months following the program, participants were once again assessed to see if they have implemented the desired target skills that they learned while attending the workshop along with accessing the available resources. Workshop resources will also be made available via website link regarding this information.
