Project Overview

Adelante Mujeres has currently ensured that 96 socially disadvantaged Latinx farmers of specialty crops in Washington County, OR, are receiving risk management training in the areas of production, marketing, financial risk. Our primary goal is to offer educational opportunities for new, beginning and aspiring Latinx farmers to ensure understanding of the risks inherent in their operations and how best to mitigate these risks to maintain economic viability.

A key highlight, so far, was the Día del Agricultor Latino (Day of the Latino Agriculturalist) event this past July 2022. It provided an interactive and in-person event for learning and networking for Latinx farmers, particularly in receiving educational opportunities.
