The AgSafe Introduction to Risk Mitigation through Human Resources Management: An Online
Certificate Program is a 4-hour, self-paced online course designed to train agricultural supervisors and managers in human resources fundamentals and best practices. The Online Certificate Program addresses several aspects of legal risk in agricultural employment and human risk, specifically:
* Employee management and communication
* Health, stress and well-being
* Labor supply, recruitment and retention
The Online Certificate Program targeted states in the Western Region. AgSafe worked in conjunction with regional partners and targeted traditional commercial and specialty crop producers as well as small farms and ranches for participation in this digital program. The program participation reached 123 individuals trained on human resources best practices in recruitment, hiring, retention, discipline, and termination with significant attention given to laws and regulations as well as the required management and communication needs unique to each portion of the process.
