Project Overview

This purpose of this project was to assist small beginning and veteran farmers in West Virginia manage risks through the understanding of crop insurance programs.

This project served 138 producers through in-person and virtual education, including on-farm workshops and webinars. Topics included crop insurance policies, reporting deadlines, and managing different types of farm risk.

A multi-page crop insurance guide for West Virginia was developed as a result of this project. Project promotional materials included articles and electronic newsletters.
