Project Overview

Economic uncertainty and marketplace instability have increased the risk agricultural producer’s face. To safely circumnavigate these challenges and assure sustainability and prosperity, producers must increase their understanding of risk and improve their business skills. Husker Ag SMARTS is a six-day advanced business management event that will enable producers to obtain understanding and skills. The skills and knowledge include: goal setting, strategy planning, financial competency, personnel management, and succession planning. This intensive event will include interactive discussion, case study analysis, computer-based simulation, hands on training and practice, and discussions with other successful producers who use these skills and concepts.
