Workshop topics included developing individual, family, & farm goals; farm transfer strategies; business analysis; financial and tax issues; treatment of heirs; all aspects of estate planning including elder care; and the development and implementation of a farm business transfer and associated estate plan. Workshops are interactive lecture with participants receiving a workbook as a reference. Participants included 450 Minnesota farm families attending one of 10, five hour workshops. A total of 265 participants will demonstrate a better understanding of farm transition and estate planning concepts and strategies.
