Project Overview

Human resource risk for Vermont dairy businesses can be managed through improved human resource management. Vermont dairy producers are concerned about the ability to maintain a productive, stable and committed workforce. This project increased participants’ performance feedback skills as well as their conflict management skills. Participants became better at managing their I-9´s for compliance as well. An Occupational Dairy Spanish Refresher Class was also offered as part of the overall project. Improved communications with ALL employees results in a more productive and stable workforce.
The project was accomplished through ´live’ workshops and a webinar series through-out the year. The webinars were very collaborative and allowed full participation between the audience and the presenter. We did maximize learning and implementation through blended learning as well as more short sessions. A total of 135 Vermont dairy producers attended a workshop and or the webinar series follow-up. We held the immigration workshops and the Refresher Spanish Class in different counties but dairy producers from across the state attended. The Mastering Management webinar follow-ups made learning convenient for producers from across the state to attend class.

Number of Participants: 135
