Project Overview

Our project assisted producers in managing their human resources through a system of online modules and decision aids to help them proceed from conceptualizing human resource needs to recruiting, training, retaining, and promoting qualified personnel.  The target audience for this project was managers of farms, ranches, and small agribusinesses. To reach this audience, one live workshop was held in Oklahoma, along with three nation-wide webinars and a series of online modules were used to introduce participants to the primary project materials: the Farm Labor Management Handbook and the Farm Labor website.  The Handbook provides in-depth discussion of a number of human resource issues, and the website hosts a library of reference materials, including the project videos and Handbook.  In total, 184 unique producers were reached through the project's efforts.
