Project Overview

The Nebraska Women in Agriculture program provided financial management and business shock resilience education through a portfolio of programs that reached 1,339 participants. The flagship event was a virtual two-day Women in Agriculture Conference (210 participants). At this event, the general session speaker as well as the workshop speakers addressed various financial risks such as record keeping, refinancing and bankruptcy. The project also funded 9 Annie’s Project courses (81 participants): 1 “Level 1” course and 8 “Know Your Numbers, Know Your Options” courses. Furthermore, we hosted two webinar series (604 participants): 10 “Open for Business” sessions and 5 financial management webinars. Finally, we launched two self-paced recordkeeping courses (458 participants):  Quicken for Farm and Ranch Record Keeping and QuickBooks for Farm and Ranch Record Keeping.

The project activities that were completed encouraged women to ask questions, connect with other participants and speakers and share their experiences. The participants who participated in the hands-on activities were able to increase their knowledge, skills, and abilities as proven by the project evaluation.
