This project continues a series of Rancher Leasing Workshops developed by Texas A&M. These programs have previously been successful & continued to improve both in number of attendees per program & evaluation results with this grant.
The four grant programs conducted for 2018-19 as part of this grant garnered the most attendees yet, with a total of 309 Texas landowners & producers attending the four programs, more than double our goal of 125. Of the 220 persons responding to the post-program evaluation, 100% said they would recommend this program & 100% reported being either "mostly" or "completely" satisfied with the workshop & instructors.
Importantly, these workshops reached people in our target demographic. Of the 172 persons that currently had lease agreements in place, 44% did not have a written agreements, & we are pleased that 95% of those with oral agreements intended to put those leases into writing by the end of the program. The 6 month follow-up survey indicates that 100% of attendees who have entered into lease agreements since the workshop put them in writing & utilized the Ranchers Agriculture Leasing Handbook. 95% of attendees have taken some action to reduce risk related to injury on their property.
